Hello Ken
This photo has jogged a few memories. I remember John very well, I lived above my parents shop on the corner of Bank St and High St and John just round the corner into Clyde St. John passed back and fore several times a day to his work and I remember him as a very polite and friendly gentleman who always seemed to have a ready smile on his face. I remember Lily also but not so well.
Recently John came up in conversation with my eldest brother Ian who was asking about him. John and Ian did National Service at the same time and for a while were both stationed at RAF Kinross and travelled home together on free weekends.

Hi, I remember this gentleman also but like Graham not so much his wife.
Graham do you recall where exactly they lived? near Willie Mackay on Clyde St.

Lily and John Graham were sister and brother and I am nearly positive they lived in the house on the corner of Clyde Street and the lane that runs from High St through to Outram St. The Logan’s house Attadale was on the corner diagonally opposite

Hello Ken, I live in their house in Clyde Street. Unfortunately the person I bought the house from split the garden in half. I have a lovely photo of your aunt in her magnificent garden. Was the house originally named emmerdale as we have a wrought-iron gate with this name on it.

My aunt and uncles Lily, John and Finlay Graham all lived for a time in your house which had been the home of their parents. I don't have a photo of Finlay. I first knew the house as No.14 Clyde Street. There must have been some development around the 60's and it was renumbered to No.34.
It didn't have a name at that time but they settled on “Emmerdale” after their favourite TV programme of the 70's. If their decision had gone the other way, your gate would have read ”Racing From Aintree”.
It used to have a lovely large garden and much time was spent tending it.
I'll speak to family and see if I can find anything of interest to forward to you. Meanwhile, I'd be very pleased if you could scan that photo of Lily and email it to me? It's kengraham@ntlworld.com

I remember John

The Graham's lived at 34 Clyde Street, my family (Lamb) lived at No 36, which was the house on the corner. I remember them well and with very fond memories. They were lovely kind people.

I remember both of them. John worked with my Dad Hamish in the Post Office & I remember posting a letter in the mailbox at the Post Office when a hand came out the box and I jumped out of my skin. It was John, he had seen me through the window..

I remember John had a collie dog that went missing and I managed to track it down. I was then given the princely sum of 7 s / 6 pence. A large sum for a 10 year old in 1967. Lovely fella.

That would have been "Struy".
