This is my grandfather John Ross, engine driver on the docks. I have no idea what year this is; he died in 1944.

This looks like the steam crane which was parked just inside the rear dock gates on Shore Road for many years.

Remember the crane used to be used to pick up the wagons for the dockyard, as the steam engines were too heavy for the track support along Shore Road.
