This is my mum, Nellie Huggins, outside Primrose Cottage, Saltburn. I would say it was taken about the 1980s.

I haven't been to Saltburn since the 1980s but I can still smell the sea and my Granny's cottage, "Eskdale". I spent most of my childhood holidays on the beach or in the back lane. I also have a lot of paperwork regarding the intallation of a waterpipe in to Saltburn from land belonging to the Laird of Ord. Also receipts dating back to 1875 for the introduction of water into Saltburn. When I was a child in the 1960s my granny only had one cold tap in a sink in one room in her cottage.
