Nonnie ran the toy shop on the High Street. Many an hour I spent drooling at the window displays.

We knew the shop as Nonnie's but I always remember Alison Blake (John Weatherstone's mum)serving. I remember the ice cream came in round cones and if you asked nicely you got to see the fishpond in the back garden.
