Thanks John for that info. Was Aunty Barbara a sister then of your Mum and Angus? I know that Angus was 'one of 13' children. I know of your Mum, Isabel, of course, and Kenny, Dan, Ian - but I don't remember/know the others?

I have just realised that the Alex Urquhart in this photo was the sign writer. I think he probably worked with John Reid, the painter. Am I right?

Hi Freda, yes you are right, my dad worked with John Reid, as did myself. He did the sign for the boat called the `Deutschland' in the film Battle of the River Plate, which was partly filmed in the Moray Firth. This film has been on the television many times and brings back memories. Dad did many signs. If you go on contributer for myself you will see a Ford van which he did the sign for (picture #697).
