Bill, behind Audrey is Hamish McKay and behind him is that Cameron Maclennan? Is that Mackenzie the Butcher in the front. Incidentally, good one of you Bill!!

Yes, behind Hamish, that is Cameron Maclennan, my dad, who passed away in 2001. He was a postie in Invergordon for 40 years.

I think behind Donald the butcher is Colin Ross (tout). Colin lived in Joss Street.

Hey Jac, was positive that was Grandad with the cheeky smile at the back there - confirmed by the comments. And I'll bet it wasn't tea in the cup he has if it's hogmanay!

Hey Dawnie - Yes, I would bet it's not tea! I'm sure there is another photo at Gran's from another year where he is wearing a cowboy hat and is holding a guitar!!!!

Ha ha, must go and dig that one out. I'm sure a few folk on here wouldn't mind seeing that.

I've just found this site; these photos are hilarious - our Dad used to develop the photos himself - everyone looked like they had afros except Hamish who did have one. I hated those hogmanay parties, they used to keep me awake with Laurie London’s "The Whole World" and Paul Anka’s "Diana" blasting in my eardrums. They saved up all year for those parties, not like nowadays.

Hi Billy, I havent been on here for a while, but your mention of Audrey's passing caught my eye..
I remember Audrey she always seemed to me more mature than any of us..
My sincere condolences to you Billy Geddes..
