Every year, at the end of the summer holidays, Dougal took local children from the Harbour area over to Balblair on the ferry for a picnic.

I wonder if my mother, Jet Andrews, is in the picture, as she was in the same class as Patty MacDonald, I believe, and would have been around 8 years old in '32. She used to say that Patty was the fastest runner in the class and she was the second fastest! Happy to be corrected if that memory is hazy...

My mum poppy always said Patty was the fastest runner ( my mum being poppy )
