Does anyone know where this was taken? I'm guessing the date is approximately 1910.

What a brilliant find Jackie. Alex is my grandfather so now I know what his siblings and parents looked like. The picture must have been taken before 1910 since Annie Mackenzie (m/s Mackay) died 26/6/1907. Great grandfather's mother was Ann Ross.

As Sheena (my sister) has said - a great picture. Could this be at Williamina Mackenzie's wedding in Alness, December 1898, the only sibling missing from the photo? She was the eldest girl of the Mackenzie family.

Willimina Mackenzie was my great grandmother, who married Alexander Ross.

John[Jock]was my grandfather.This is the first time I have seen a picture of him as a young man.was maggie a sister ?.because my grand mother was margaret Macleod.Jock died in 1935 before I was born in 1938 in Harbour house invergordon
