I didn't know that Invergordon looked like that when I wasn't even alive. Amazing things that change over the years.

The town continued to look exactly like this right up until the '50s although it would not have been too healthy to stand around in the middle of the High Street. The fountain was damaged several times by vehicles and was moved, I believe some time in the '60s.

Correct you are Bill. People living there today must wonder at the width of the High Street when there was hardly any traffic. It is not like that now, more traffic but narrower.
