The Invergordon Archive
Evening at InvergordonA lovely evening scene, looking west. Could the boat be the ferry to Balblair - seems unlikely, surely? Which pier is that on the right?
The date is pure guesswork.

That is the RAF Pier, which was the West Pier. The mast, kindly provided by the dockyard, on the pier was set up as a start and finish line for regattas. That looks like a GP14 which would put the date about 1959-1961, Ron Stewart and myself used to spend a lot of time on that class of boat, and the hull shape looks about right.
