What an amazing series of pictures Lachlan! They must have been lurking in somebody's attic for many years. I would guess that these must be some of the earliest pictures ever taken of the harbour. Quite amazing! They are perfectly recognisable as Invergordon but they look almost 19th century!

I met a guy in Cannich at Easter, Bill on one of my cross-country hikes. He's a postcard enthusiast (anorak) and he goes to postcard sales. He has a huge collection of Highland postcards, and I managed to get copies of about 40 of his Invergordon ones. Some were already in the Archive, but there were a few new ones. All copied in Boots in Edgware, North London. Funny where things come from.
