The Invergordon Archive

Its noticeable that people are keeping out of the East wind by the shelter of the corrugated iron fence. It was rarely warm enough to stand out in the open and I guess these bathers will soon be warming themselves up with at least one mug of hot Oxo bought from the pay office. Notice that beside the macho swimmers there is one wee boy who was sensible enough to leave his clothes on. You cannot see it due to the high tide but just behind this side of the pool was the only sandy bit of beach at Invergordon. It was a bit meagre and nothing like the glorious Nigg sands which were always the beach of choice on hot days.
