The date is Saturday 9 February 1991 and the caption reads:
Retiring as Scout Master with the Invergordon Group is Mr. John D. Forsyth, Tain, after 21 years service. To mark his retirement the Invergordon Scout Group held a function in the Cromlet Club, Invergordon, when Mr. Forsyth was presented with a silver salver, crystal decanter and glasses (all inscribed) by Mrs. Catherine Fraser, chairwoman of the group. Pictured is Mr Forsyth receiving his inscribed silver salver from Mrs. Fraser while members of the Scout Group Committee look on.
