The View North-WestThe view from the road which runs round the old castle woods and leads onto the 'yellow brick road'. More detail can be seen in the large version.
In the left background Ben Wyvis can be seen, then Fyrish just to the right, with Rosskeen Church in the mid foreground. To the right is the Davidsons' Farm while there is a glimpse of Kincraig House to the right through the trees.
The Ash Tree in the foreground, which will soon come into leaf, marks the bridge over the ditch known as Johnstones Ditch. The Black Ditch, or Big Ditch, runs just beyond the tree line on the far right.

Hi Malcolm, great pics. Nice to see that there are still some open spaces in this area

Thank you Harry. I guess this view hasn't changed much since you were last here, perhaps the trees are taller and a few extra farm buildings?
Added by Malcolm McKean on 30 May 2009
Yes Malcolm, quite a few extra farm buildings. Davidson's farm must be the former Kincraig farm.

Sorry for the confusion, Harry, it still is Lower Kincraig Farm, run by the Davidsons - Ackie and his son Gordie. They also, of course, run Mains Farm.

Great photo Malcolm. Thanks too for the info on where everything is situated. It helps to jog the (old) memory!!
