Would it be the Duncan Maclean that is Ken (pussy) Maclean's brother? - who also had a nickname and used to live on Shore Rd......

Duncan is the son of Diana Maclean, and his brother Ken was best friends with my uncle Iain Askew. Ken emigrated to Australia when he married but, yes, they did live on Shore Road.

Hi Harry, you are absolutely right. I saw Duncan last year when I went home and, although he looks older, as we all do, when he speaks you would know him straightaway.

Thanks Liz and Rosalie. I thought so, like you say - older like us all, but I can still make him out facially. If you remember, his father was the doorman at the picture house for a while, a kind and gentle man.

Harry, thanks for reminding me about Duncan's Dad being the doorman at the Picture House. How could I have forgotten that, especially as I was ice-cream girl for some time!!!!
