The date of this picture is a guess, but it was taken after the Leisure Centre was built but before the Isobel Rhind Centre.
The size of the two tank farms is clear for all to see.

I notice there's a gap in one of the rows of oil tanks. I was once told one of them was bombed. Is this true?

Yes, it is true - have a look at picture #180 for more comments about this. It is hoped to have a picture of the tank, soon after it was bombed, shortly on the library.
