This is certainly correct I can remember watching a squadron of Sunderland flying boats landing coming in from the East and touching down just before the Admiralty Pier in about 1956

I can't remember the exact year but I remember watching flying boats taking off and touching down just north of the Balblair ferry slip.

I recall them too Eddie, but never a squadron of them, maybe one or two at the most.
I think you and I are the only ones that remember the A.N. down by Seaview, Invergordon's 1st playground.

Hi Harry. It was only a couple of flying boats I remember being there at one time, and yes I remember the AN down behind Seaview and the coal store. It was one of the best playgrounds, although by todays standards it would be classed as a major risk and demolished. all being said it was one of the best climbing frames ever.
