The man standing side-on to the camera is Major (Retd) David Grant Queens Own Highlanders & Highlanders - he and I served together, the lady is his wife Mary. They have since moved to Inverness!

Yes, David Ross A.K.A Davey Coon, worked on the Harbour Master's Launch along with my grandfather Fachy Dunn.

Davey worked on the Harbour boat with my Grandfather Jim Askew as well. Looking at the photo Joe Macdonald has commented on Major David Grant and his wife Mary who I am sure is a local girl Mary Coutts, sister of Danny & daughter of the recently deceased Helma...

Amazing seeing Maj Grant again. Davy and I joined the battalion together in 1964 following a brief sojourn at the Fort. Take good care of yourself old friend an honour to have served with you.
