Gilbert Ross & Co 1961I thought you may be interested in this two page receipt from the above Ironmongers. This was when my stepfather, Captain Frederic Booth, Harbour Master at that time In Invergordon, and my mother, Fay, moved into 15 High Street Invergordon. I remember lots of refurbishments going on at the time - hence all the various items. I appreciate it says No: 17 High Street, but it was actually No: 15 High Street.
I thought this was a great piece of history for The Invergordon Archive.

Hi Heather, great item indeed. I remember well everything being entered hand-written even up to the 50's. I remember Jean Macrae, Hec's daughter diligently doing so at Mackenzies (Naxies) on the High Street.
