I'm in the photo as are some pupils of Milton Primary School. I was a teacher there at the time. Three of the pupils I can make out are Sharon Rose, Kirsty Sinclair and Melanie Gordon. I remember wearing a yellow dress that day and everyone saying, "You're wearing the same colour as the Queen!"

Aye, Mr Smith, tough as nails, used to refer to the students in commercial class as pencil pushers. I remember him being heckled in the town hall, he came off the stage and took care of it himself much to the delight of all present.
