Pre 1968 when the 'new' bridge was built - and pupils still attended the old Academy.

As kids, we used to walk along the top of the wall of this bridge - it's a wonder we didn't fall off, had no fear then. Also used to wait for the train to go under and get a face-full of soot...I suppose a new bridge was required as this one was narrow for traffic?
